Lindström and UNICEF Finland have signed a four-year partnership agreement

Lindström and UNICEF have signed a four-year agreement on a partnership to support UNICEF Finland’s clean water project in Madhya Pradesh in India.

The new partnership agreement is an extension to a four-year partnership agreement, started in 2007, in which Lindström supported UNICEF Finland’s hygiene and sanitation programme in Bihar in India.

“We are very happy to be able to continue our cooperation for an important cause,” says Juha Laurio, President and CEO of Lindström Oy. “Our partnership agreement with UNICEF is linked to our company’s key business areas and reflects Lindström’s values on responsibility, long-term partnership and the significance of enthusiasm and the joy in learning.”

For clean water

Lindström supports UNICEF Finland’s water and sanitation project in Madhya Pradesh in India, where the most common cause of death among children is still diseases, such as diarrhea, resulting from dirty water. This year, UNICEF will start in the area a three-year project aimed at guaranteeing clean water for the inhabitants in the area. UNICEF is building wells, improving sanitation and providing hygiene training in Madhya Pradesh. When children learn the importance of hygiene and clean water in school, they take that knowledge to their homes. The project includes 150 schools that reach a total of 37,000 Indian children and 15,000 families.

Lindström focuses on sustainable development
