Lindström’s sustainability practices cover all of the interest groups: authorities, customers, development of our own line of business, owners, personnel and subcontractors as well as the media. Certified service
Lindström has signed the ICC Business Charter for Sustainable Development and implements with its principles in all its operations. In Finland, the company has the ISO 9001:2000 certificate, and the environmental certificate ISO 14001 was renewed in February according to the new standard. The subsidiaries outside Finland adhere to the same quality and environmental system as the parent company.
In 1997, the Finnish Standards Association (SFS) granted the Nordic environmental label or the Swan label, to Lindström's roll towel system. This was the first time that the environmental label had been granted to a service in Finland. The label was principally granted on the basis of the recyclability of the product and the small environmental impact of towel manufacture and the wash and service process.
