What opportunities are offered for students completing theses?
We do not currently offer a systematic programme for thesis stage students, although a number of theses have been carried out in partnership with Lindström over the years. If you are interested in this type of opportunity, send an application under the "Job application" section. Make sure to provide detailed information on your areas of interest and suggested thesis topics to be completed at Lindström.
What opportunities are offered for recent graduates?
Recent graduates have been recruited for diverse tasks within the organisation, including sales and customer service, HR and financial administration, marketing and communications and as experts in different fields. The Lindström trainee programme has recruited recent graduates e.g. with a Masters of Sciences degree in economics or engineering. The most recent trainee programme was launched in Finland in 2011, and international programmes have also been arranged in China and Russia. Lindström’s trainee programme will be launched in India for the first time in spring 2013. The trainee programme is designed to find and develop new talent for management tasks within the company.

We value experience and expertise. Lindström’s domestic operations and strong internationalisation create a range of challenging tasks for experts and managers all the way to top executive level. What types of summer jobs are offered?
A large number of summer jobs are offered to students each year. In 2011, we filled over 200 summertime vacancies. Most of our summer employees work at laundries in different parts of Finland, but also in other types of employment. As all summer workers are seen as potential future employees, it is important to create a pleasant atmosphere and inspire a joy of learning. Feedback is gathered from all summertime workers at the end of their employment. Summer vacancies are announced during January - April. What is the recruitment process like?
Applications can be submitted for any open position advertised on our pages. After submitting your application, you will receive an automated email message. Applications are subsequently processed by managers and HR personnel responsible for recruitment, who will invite potential candidates for an interview. Depending on the position, the recruitment process involves 1-3 rounds of interviews.
All applicants will be contacted by email or telephone at the end of the recruitment period by the latest. As the duration of the recruitment process varies, an exact date for announcing the final decision cannot be specified. When applying for an open position, you can agree for your application to be used for other positions.
How are open applications processed?
We go through received open applications on a regular basis. We will contact those who have submitted an open application as soon as a position that matches the candidate’s background becomes vacant. Open applications are valid for 6 months. An automated email reminder is sent out to applicants 2 weeks before the end of the 6-month period, allowing applicants to reactivate the open application. Those applying for a specific position or submitting an open application will receive login details for our recruitment system, allowing them to make subsequent modifications to the application.
